Tuxford & Tebbutt Creamery wins five prizes at World Cheese Awards -
Tuxford & Tebbutt Creamery, in Melton Mowbray, is celebrating after one of its speciality cheeses was awarded a 'SuperGold' at this year's World Cheese Awards. The prestigious accolade means that the cheese has clinched a place among the World's 50 Best Cheeses.
Tuxford & Tebbutt, owned by Milk Link, claimed the 'SuperGold' award for its Single Stilton Cut. It also won a gold award for its Single Stilton cheese, two silver awards, and a bronze award.
At what is the largest cheese competition in the world, Milk Link's creameries excelled after competing against a huge 2,500 cheeses from countries around the world including France, Italy and the USA. Milk Link scooped an impressive total of 25 awards in various categories.
The success tops off what has been an excellent awards season for Tuxford & Tebbutt Creamery, which has clinched a total of over 50 awards this year for their cheeses, including 3 trophies and 18 Gold medals.
